Realizing Person-Centered Decision-Making for Routine Induction of Labor

This presentation examines how person-centered decision-making can guide counseling for routine induction of labor. Grounded in midwifery values and aligned with the ACNM position statement, the session emphasizes informed choice, respect for autonomy, and preference-concordant care. We will explore practical strategies and clinical tools that support meaningful, values-aligned conversations and demonstrate how to use a patient-centered decision aid in clinical practice to optimize shared decision-making with patients.
