ACNM webinars aim to share relevant knowledge, ideas, and updates related to the profession of midwifery with ACNM members and non-members. Ranging from clinical, social, business, and research topics, they provide easily accessible ways for midwives to stay up to date on the latest developments in the field and earn continuing education credits.
Live Webinars are usually 60 minutes in length, including a 45-minute presentation and 15 minutes of question and answer (Q&A). There are also ENCORE Webinars that are pre-recorded that do not include Q&A sessions.
Geared toward medical procedure training, Virtual Clinical Labs blend an engaging online self-study course to deliver knowledge and theory with a live virtual simulation to practice the procedure. Click on the links below for all current ACNM Virtual Clinical Lab offerings.
ACNM has a full schedule of The Midwife as Surgical First Assistant (First Assist) Virtual Clinical Labs available! First Assist focuses on training midwives to participate and provide continuity of care for patients during a cesarean section. This course is designed specifically for midwives and addresses promotion of vaginal birth, shared decision-making and informed consent, and functioning as an active member of the perioperative team.
