The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) is the largest professional membership organization of certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) and certified midwives (CMs) in the United States. Our members are primary care, sexual and reproductive healthcare providers throughout the lifespan, with a special emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecologic and reproductive health. Our approach of listening to people, respecting their insights, and recognizing them as experts in their health is reflected in the midwifery model of care, and can serve as an accessible solution to improved maternal health and the growing problem of health inequity.
ACNM encourages all constituents and interested parties to seek new ways to promote midwifery and women’s health on local, regional, and national levels. From information on important midwifery meetings to professional resources for midwives, ACNM offers an extensive collection of materials intent on the betterment of the midwifery profession and women’s healthcare.
