  • Blood Drive
    United Blood Services is holding a blood drive in Jemez, West Building, Lower Level. Donations times will be:

    Monday, May 23: 10:00AM - 1:30PM
    Tuesday, May 24: 4:00PM - 8:00PM
    Wednesday, May 25: 4:00PM - 7:00PM
    Thursday, May 26: 8:00AM - 12:00PM

  • Movie Night
    Two movies are scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 6:00-7:00pm in Pecos, East Building, Upper Level: ?Every Mile, Every Mother? and ?Birth in America,? both from Director and Activist Christy Turlington Burns, ACNM Closing Premier Speaker. 
  • Catholic Maternity Institute Tour
    On Saturday, May 21, the New Mexico Affiliate of ACNM is offering a special guided, pre-convention tour of the Catholic Maternity Institute (CMI)?a place with significant historical roots for midwifery and ACNM. Read more
  • Expanded Heart of Midwifery
    With more than 150 participants last year, we?re going back to having 2 Heart of Midwifery sessions?one aimed at students and new midwives, and the other a more general session. Wear your jammies, bring a pillow and join us for both sessions in the Sandia room! Read more

    For centuries, many southwest people have embraced an integrated healing approach using traditional indigenous practices to heal the mind, body, and spirit. Visit a traditional healer on Monday, May 23 from 7:00AM - 8:00PM. Read more

  • Bead Artisan Phillip Cate

    Visit the Exhibit Hall for a bead work demo by artisan Phillip Cate. After learning how to do bead work from his grandmother, Phillip now makes a variety of beaded items and travels throughout the states and Canada giving demonstrations and showing off his incredible skills. Read more

  • Cellicion Zuni Dancers

    Join us for the Opening General Session and enjoy social songs and dances by renowned traditional Zuni performers, Cellicion Zuni Dancers. CZD has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. A well traveled group, CZD has been to 32 countries including 14 trips to Holland, 4 trips to Istanbul, Turkey.

  • FACNM Speed Mentoring Breakfast


    Are you interested in applying to become an ACNM fellow? Are you looking to find a fellow as a resource, guide, or mentor to help you achieve a goal? Come talk with ACNM fellows at our speed mentoring breakfast at the ACNM 61st Annual Meeting & Exhibition Wednesday, May 25, 7:30 - 8:30AM. Each participant will sit with a fellow and discuss their leadership mentoring needs. Attendees will change fellows every 5 minutes. Bring your CV to ask questions about the application process for ACNM Fellowship, and find a fellow to mentor you! This event is not open to students. Read more

We?ll give you the inside scoop on our favorite food and drink places, as well as point you to fun shopping and spectacular scenery. Read more
  • Tampons and Tamales Service Project

    The New Mexico Affiliate of ACNM is leading the Tampons and Tamales Service Project. Please help us by bringing supplies with you to the meeting?items such as tampons, pads, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, facial tissue, toilet paper, socks, soap, and laundry detergent are welcomed. Read more

  • Traditional Healing Space


    We?re excited to announce that we?ll be setting up a Traditional Healing Space at this year?s meeting. For centuries, many southwest people have embraced an integrated healing approach using traditional indigenous practices to heal the mind, body, and spirit. You are welcome to sign up to visit one of the healers led by Tonita Gonzales and Rita Navarrete Perez in the Anasazi room on the West Convention Center?s lower level. The traditional healers will do treatments daily from 7AM to 8PM with a suggested donation of $15 for each 15 minutes. Read more
  • Unity Tent

    ACNM invites all of you to join us May 23 - 25 for the first annual Unity Tent in Albuquerque. The tent is a safe place for people from all cultures, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, practices, etc. to step away from the meetings and ed sessions for a moment of respite. We will sit in silence, talk, share a cup of tea, and build bridges towards diversity and inclusion for all members.
