My moment of truth

I am from Nepal, and I came to United States to pursue further education. As long as I remember, I have always wanted to make a difference in the field of women's health. However, I did not then know that I would choose the path of a midwife until I stumbled into a video from a home birth in rural Nepal that was unattended by any health care professionals. I was in tears as I was watching this video. This was a the moment of realization that I could become a midwife and help the women in need be here in United States or someday in Nepal when I have lot of experience or resources.
