Barbara Hughes has more than 26 years of experience as a certified nurse-midwife in private, academic, and hospital-based practices. She has served as chair of the March of Dimes Board of Directors in Denver and has been active in many other professional organizations, including ACNM, ACOG, AWHONN, Lamaze International, and the National Perinatal Association. Ms. Hughes speaks on the local and national level about women's health care topics including clinical practice, business, and leadership.
