Pennsylvania Midwives are Granted Prescriptive Authority

HB 1255 was signed by the Governor on July 20, 2007 as Act 50 of the Laws of 2007. The new law took effect on September 18, 2007. Regulations were finalized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine (BOM) in April of 2009. CNMs may now write prescriptions according to those specifications.
